Do you remember as a kid how’d you feel the night before Christmas Day? That was me last night, and I woke up super early this morning with a huge grin on my face.
The day has arrived! It’s finally Christmas – a.k.a. the launch date of the new iOS 8 and, of course, the iPhone 6. However, as I live in Barcelona, I have to wait until 7pm until the new iOS is available to download.
So, as I spend the day in quiet anticipation, I ponder if this old cookie – my iPhone 4s – will still be my best friend by the end of the day.
I don’t want to be a party pooper; after all, I’m #TeamiPhone to the core! But after being exposed to Android, specifically to the fact that rooting a handset is actively encouraged, whereas jailbreaking an iPhone is not, I’m starting to wonder if I’m just #TeamiOS because I know no better.
So with that in mind, I have some questions I want answered by the end of the day:
Okay, the last question I just threw out there… and why not? Because I bet you’re asking the same questions, right?
Well, let’s wait and see what happens. I’m just hoping and praying to all the gods, that whatever glitches Apple had with the iOS 7 and the iPhone 5, they have a handle on it now. By the end of today, I want to be as happy as a pig in mud with my trusty old iPhone 4s handling the powerful iOS 8 engine with ease.
Who else out there is upgrading to iOS 8? Are you more excited or nervous?
